When should they be saying... ?

One of the most common questions and concerns that is brought to me concerns when children should be correctly producing a certain sound.  While some children are very clear to understand at age 3, it is more typical that younger children have several sounds that will continue to develop as they grow.

Here is one of my favorite charts to share, that I find pretty easy to read and understand.

If you ever do have concerns about specific sound errors always feel free to ask!  Children benefit from accurate models but sometimes they are not yet ready to make all of the sounds accurately themselves.
